I have been using the Salus to control the temp in the house due to a cold extension.

The timer is correctly set, and most of the time, everything is good.

The problem is, occasionaly, when the sender demands heat, the reciever clicks and glows green but the boiler (Remeha avanta) does not fire up.

This has happened a few times; cycling the reciever on and off has no imediate effect but then, randomley it fires up.

Due to purchasing the wrong unit (RT300RF), I left the first reciever but this eventually failed, showing the above signs but did not switch on. Is this typical?

For info; the boiler is a system boiler in the kitchen. when mis behaving, if I adjust the cylinder stat, the boiler fires up.

The reciever is in the hall, it is has replaced a simple Sunvic which had a 230V feed to it and two neutrals and an earth.

I leave the timer (in the kitchen) on all the time to provide 230V to the unit via the (removed) thermostat.

I may consider swapping to the Honeywell model if I can continue to wire it this way as I cannot supply a "permanent" live due to it's location in the hall.

All help most welcome.
