Salus RT500RF Weekend programming

Hello all,

Moved in to a new house and it has one of these heating programmer things. No issues at all programming Mon-Fri but when scrolling through 5 times for weekdays and expecting it just to flip to weekends it goes back to weekday time 1. I have had the unit off and tried changing the switch thing to 7 days from 5/2 but still does the same thing with no weekend option still comes up with just Mon-Fri. Am I being particularly dim or what? any hints or tips would be gratefully welcomed.

press "set" and the week days will flash, when they are flashing press the up or down buttons and the weekend will flash up allowing you to set your times.
