Same inlet and drain system for dishwasher AND washing mach

Hi People,

just moved into a new house which is fantastic. We already have a washing machine, but we are looking to get a dishwasher.

Not being very proficient at plumbing etc, we were wondering whether it is possible to run both machines (not at the same time) from a single water source, and use some form of "splitter" to use the same waste system?

Any ideas?

You can put a plastic T piece on the water supply no problem. If the washing machine goes onto a spigot under the sink then you'll need to get a seperate one for the dishwasher.
