Hi, Having a problem with my tv. The red power indicator on the bottom at the right hand side of the screen is just flashing. Sometimes the tv does come on but then switches off again then other times it's fine. has anyone experienced this or any ideas?

Craig.

:D well theresa thing have the full servicemanual to upload but cant upload it here.....the smps does need to be checked.....especially the standby 5v supply and the 12volt switched supply-dependant on the supply fitted the reservoir capacitors are only rated at 10v for the 12v supply-i always fit 25v rated hi temp electrolytics,if there are any bulging capacitors they will need replacing. You may also find the 24v supply capacitors are faulty as well

Thanx for the replies.. I've been told by a tv Engineer that the t-card? needs replacing

I think a with a T-Con fault you would get sound, but no picture.
I believe, yours is not powering up at all?

How confident are you to take the back off the tv (power disconnected of course) to post a close up photo of the arrowed parts in the picture below?
If the silver tops of these parts are bulging AT ALL, then they need to be replaced before attempting to fix anything else as these failing cause the symptoms you describe.

Hi, have taken a couple of pics.Having had a close look at the capacitors in the picture they don't seem to be bulging. If is was the T con is it difficult to replace and where can I get one? the t con num is 320AB02CP2LV03.
Thanks..

Thanks for the reply. The other capacitors looked ok also. If it is the T con where is it located and is it easy to remove?

the t-con board is under the arrowed metal plate.
replacing is fairly straighforward, but you have to be careful with the zif connectors as they are easily broken.

Have a read up on zif connectors on google.

Hi, I'm struggling to find a T con. can you recommend a supplier? or I could try a tv engineer.
