We have installed two close coupled wcs in a basement with a saniflo on each. The cisterns are the push button type. On separate occasions we have had floods, four to date. The building is unused overnight, but when the floods happened we found water belting out of the toilet pans. although on, the saniflos were not working. By switching the saniflo power on and off they kicked in and took the water away. I know there are a load of reasons why a saniflo might not work and obviously the switching on and off got them going, but why would this have the effect of making the cisterns release water at mains pressure continuosly?
