I have a saniflo in a french appartment I own- it is a sanitop and is 2years and 9 months old but hardly gets used and if it has been used its only had wee and loo paper down it- we switch it off and the water supply to it when we aren't here- we haven't been here for 6 months so its had a long period not being used- it now won't work properly- the motor keeps pumping out and then the cut off kicks in and if we leave it switched on the motor cuts in again after a while but then runs and runs until it cuts out again.
We checked inside and there is nothing blocking it and we checked the non return flap is working- the pump is pumping water out as there wasn't much water in it when we opened it up and we've been flushing the loo to try and get it to work- we thought it mightbe it needed more water in it so filled it up (it overflowed!) and then switched it on and it pumped all the water out but the pump just won't switch off- is this a problem with the microswitch and if so is that easy to replace ourselves?
