Santon Premier Plus noise, intermittent, fog horn sound

Hi there,

I have a Santon Premier Plus.

At night, randomly and for about 20 seconds each time, it emits a noise that sounds like a fog horn (although not as loud).

Funny thing is, no taps are running and the heating is off when it makes a noise.

Do you have any ideas as to what it could be? My heating/plumbing knowledge is very minimal.

I expect that it may be associated with the expansion vessel.

But DIYers are not meant to work on unvented cylinders.

Only those with the appropriate G3 qualification.
