After 20 years in the garden mine are about rotten.

To save me measuring the whole thing to make fresh ones - does anyone know where there are any plans so I can just make up a kit of parts?

Are there any other interesting projects worth building?

Cheers

Hi Joe ! :D

I know I'm probably not your favourite person

....but it's nearly Christmas and the season of good will to all men, etc.....

....anyway, there's great plans for saw-stools and saw-horses in :

Manual of First and Second-fixing Carpentry by Les Goring, published by Elsevier Books. Good book to have in general anyway.

(P.S. my windows are made of timber !) :D

Hi Mike, it was all in good fun wasn't it?

I'll check out that book as I'm looking for a decent carpentry book.

I'm also looking for one that deals with roof timbers in design and practice.

Yes, I should hope so... fuelled by too much Guinness on my part....

If you track down a good book on roofing that's not American, let me know.....I could do with one. ;)

unless you specifically want to make them, sawhorse brackets are available just fit timber, assemble as required,(don`t have to leave them in the garden)

Same question as Joe-90, but this time, for a saw horse thingy that's used for supporting small tree trunks whilst cutting them into logs? A bit like two 'X' ends joined together with some straight bits. A link to a suitable sketch would be useful. (I'd search google myself, but I don't know what these things are called).
Thanks.
