Scantronic 9448 wont set

Hi guys,

Just moved into a new house, the alarm unit (scantronic 9448) when I enter the code starts exit tone then after 20-30 seconds internal alarm sounds. Ive never used this system before am I doing something wrong? Checked sensors all seem fine. any help would be greatly appreciated.

its not a panel I like very much and your description is very vague.

if the exit tone expires and the system goes into alarm when you type you code in the panel should indicate what was active at the end causing it to go into alarm.

if there is a fault during arming it usually doesn't set and the led displayed points you to the fault.
