Scantronic 9651 - Tamper Reset - Help!!

I've just moved into a new house with a Scantronic 9651 Alarm.

We don't know the engineers code and have tried to use the default ones without luck.

We've got a Tamper warning (keypad) and we need to do an engineers reset.

I've read that we need to fully reset the system by opening the control box and joining two pins.

When I switch the power off and open the control unit - will the bell sound? How can I get around this? When will it stop?

See page 34 on manual.... There may stil be a tamper fault on your system this will not clear this !

...but if you put it into Installer Mode as soon as you've done the first stage crash, it will ignore the tamper and all should be quiet.
