Help! I have tried to remove some black cork tile adhesive by using an abrasive attachment on a drill. Now I have some scratchs and uneven dark/light patches on the tiles. Previoulsy I removed the bulk of the adhesivee by softening with white spirits and scrapping with a wall paper scrapper. This took approximately two weeks thus the use of the drill for the final clean! Does any one have any advise as to how I can restore the tiles please?!

Hi Omega3

Red quarry tiles ....
you could try Red Tile Polish an buff them up with an attachment you can get for your drill , seal them with Linseed oil , be warned this could make the floor very slippy once finished , with everything try a few tiles at the corner of the room an see what you think ,
To be honest I would lay a new tiled surface on top if its really scratched up
hope this has helped :)

Thanks for that. I will try a few tiles and see how it goes. Carpet has suddenly become very appealing!!! ;)
