Morning,
Have had an area of kitchen floor screeded to join an existing section, it has dried a very dark grey, the surface has loose bits and in places at the edge I can poke my finger through it and it breaks up. It looks like the fake soil which comes in potted plants.
Some of the same batch left over was layed outside where it was raining lightly, this has dried to a much lighter colour and is solid. (Much like that of the existing section of kitchen floor).
Hopefully my pics show this.
The screed was ordered with fibres and a retarder in the mix.
I am quite surprised by the colour and surface difference , would it suggest the mix was too dry when layed or other issues?
Will it survive being used under a wooden floor in a kitchen.
Any suggestions, recommendations welcome.
Much appreciated
Steve
