Screw Fix Taps with budget suite

Hi

Ok i admit i saved some money buying the suite in the first place, but is it usual for mixer type taps to be able to feed cold water back through the hot run whilst both taps are open??

Is it usual to put non return valves on basin feeds of this nature, i'm going to with the mixer shower just wondered if it was normal with the higher quality mixer tap arrangements to require these valves installing.

Depends if your hot water is low pressure in which case you should fit a non return valve on the hot supply.

Don't bother if you have a combi system

It's a new Greenstar 37 CDI that's just gone in so i`ll not bother.

If the taps comply with the Water Regs then this won't happen. It sounds like yours dont - but never mind eh, they were cheap.

I'm sure it has the appropriate BS certs, i`ll have to check the paperwork.

It's the grove delux suite, just wondering if the tap assembly is faulty.
