Afternoon wondering whether or not you can help me.

I'm currently ready to start a shed build 6x3 metres unsing 2x6 timbers for the walls & 2x6 timbers for the base.

I'm going down the screw route rather then nails and wondering if someone can advise me on what screws to use please.

I've hunted the net high and low and still none the clearer on what length, width quality of screw I should be using.

Thank you.

What cladding are you using?

Are you near the sea?

Will you ever want to dismantle it?

No mate not near the sea or not going to dismantle it either. As for cladding I'll definitely be using it but not 100% which sort.

the length of the screw needs to be about 3 times the thickness of the cladding.

Drill pilot holes to avoid splitting.

More answers depend on the cladding you decide to use.

Use nails for cladding, not sure why John thinks you will be screwing it?

Because I read the OP's first post.

You're welcome.
