the brickwork which forms the bottom of our door opening has become partially expose. I was going to re-seal it - has anyone got advice on the best type of sealants?
Sorry - I've not been very clear about this, but am a bit unsure about the terminology. Years ago we had a UVPC door installed, and the bottom part of the frame (sill/threshold?) stopped short of the actual door opening (in the brickwork) by a few inches. Over time the surface that protected the brick (render?) has worn away.
So, I've now got an area a couple of inches deep and running the width of the door which is basically exposed brick. Someone suggested that we should try and cover it with silicon sealant, and I wasn't sure what the best type would be.
