Hi. Our house is around 4 years old, recently we are having problems with our central heating - we are oil fired with a sealed system.

the problem is as follows.
1. I cannot locate a top up bottle or pressure gauge anywhere, tried the attic, boiler (outside) have however found the expansion vessel and pressure relief valve.
2. I fitted a towel rail in the bathroom as I could not find any drain off anywhere, so as we were rebuilding the bathroom a towel rail seemed the way to go.
3. I refilled the system using the towel rail, filled the rail, went to the next rad and bled through, continued around the house until no water/ air expelled, went back to the rail and refilled, repeated this fill/ bleed until all but two large rads were done, I reckon leaving two rads and the vessel would would be enough for expansion during heat up. All appeared fine for around a month until rads stopped heating and the rads gurgeled and knocked. I went back to the rail and needed to fill up again, system worked again for around three weeks and now the same problem. Not having a pressure gauge may have caused me to overfill and / or worse caused a leak, can someone first tell me where I should locate the pressure gauge and topup value. Seems strange if its a leak, then i would expect the pressure would drop quickly, but it doesn't any ideas.
