Sealing a chipped tile.

Our shower area is tiled with black rectangular tiles that gave a series of white grooves running across them. Somehow one of these grooves has been chipped, about two cm of white has disappeared revealing that beige ceramic that tiles are made of.

Is there something I can apply to ensure thus area stays water tight rather than having to attempt to replace a full tile?

You mean the grout....just re-grout..

I don't think those are grout lines. It's certainly not the edge of the tile.

That's defiantly just a little grout that's fallen away. My parents have them. They have grey versions of those. The tiles come in larger sections with grooved areas like yours for grouting between to make them look like smaller tiles. Same principle to mosaic sheets but ridged.

You can see another hairline crack on the vertical on your photo also where another little fault line is in the grout. There is no tile chip there. Just re-grout.

You can even see in a few places the grouts too thin as you can see the beige colour behind in a couple of places. Patches I can see are to the left and right of the vertical grout line, top right row, mainly, the top left just in from the vertical, then the other three lower down but less prominent, but close again just like where the section has fallen away.

Follow on question. As that's the only bit of grout that needs redoing, what's the most cost effective way?

Can you get grout in a tube or something to save buying a massive bag?
