Sealing between wood and concrete floor

Hi. I'm making a sort of threshold into a cubby hole. It's a piece of wood 690mm x 95mm. It's going to be screwed down onto a concrete floor.

I think there probably ought to be water tight seal between the wood and concrete.

What is my cheapest option do you think? I don't want to spend much money on this. Thanks.
