Sealing carpet edges

Hi. Want to lay strips of carpet that i cut to size on my stairs. Need to seal the edges to stop it from fraying!? Any advice......

do you mean a runner to go down the centre of your staircase if so then a stair runner has bound edges to prevent it fraying

No. We cut a piece of remnant so that it fits the whole stair. Sewing the edges of it at the moment to stop it fraying out. Hopefully it will work.

Any advice......[/i check online & it said 2 put clear nail polish or super glue @ edges of carpet im tryins to make throw rugs out of the carpet that was on my floors so im gonna try that hope it works lolquote]
