I'm looking to seal the concrete floor in our garage to stop the dustyness that tends to form on the bare concrete.
I've seen the stuff used by cleaners which goes on then sets into an almost varnish-like shiney layer, but being unable to find it from normal DIY outlets i picked up some "pave seal" from B&Q, which promised to seal and protect concrete floors from dusting and also protect it from oil and suchlike. Perfect i thaught.
However i've just been out and spend a while testing this stuff out, and i'm not particularly impressed. Its not very viscous, and TBH seems almost like just pouring white spirit all over the floor. It claims 5-8m^2 per litre on the tin and i've managed to use 5 litres of the stuff putting two coats onto half the garage floor, which is about 3m x 3m.
Problem is, it doesnt actally seem to have done anything. Once dry the bare concrete looks no different to the untreated stuff.
So assuming this stuff is just crap, can anyone recommend a better treatment, or should i try and find a janitorial supply shop and buy the cleaning stuff i was thinking of getting first time round?

Something like the first three products on that page...
