Hi All,
Please can someone advise me what the procedure is for painting new plasterboard .

I've put up a new ceiling in my garage painting side down ,taped , filled and sanded (what a job !!) it and now want to paint it pbw .

I was thinking of using this paint http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-trade-bare-plaster-paint-brilliant-white-10ltr/51004 , would this be suitable ?

Do I need to seal the plasterboard before using this paint ? If so what would I use ?

Thanks in advance for any answers

Glenn

You can use this http://www.british-gypsum.com/products/gyproc-drywall-sealer or you can use watered down emulsion 50/50 to seal it as it's only a garage I would use the latter yes you do need to seal it because the filler will suck the life out of the paint you have to make the filler and board one before painting or you will see the filler as a different texture once painted
