sealing shower pipe

hi I am in the process of fitting a electric shower to a wall fitted with cement board but what I am curious about is how do I seal the hole which the plumbing a electric are coming through
both services are coming through the one hole
please could anyone let me know what is normally done

you can put some clear silicone in the hole.
the hole should be behind the shower unit anyway.
so the unit is splash proof not shower proof and shouldn't get water their.
