Hi,
I have just replaced my internal doors with oak veneered ones. The are unfinished and so am wondering what to do next -ie to seal them against moisture etc. I would like the finished doors to have a light natural colour. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best products and what I should do next.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi,
They are pine internally and have been veneerred with real oak as far as I can tell. They were made by Johnson Alridge
Thanks,
Phil

Could try a nice coat of SIKKENS this will give a nice sheen and not darken too much.

I used to use teak oil on my solid oak doors. It gave a delicate sheen and always looked good. Not sure about veneer, though.

Phil, I answered this question on your other thread about oak doors.

Is it cause I is a woooman that you are not taking notice of what I say.

My hubby is very good at not taking any notice of me either.

BTW, I have not long varnished oak veenered doors, 4 panel doors, and you wouldnt know they were veenered, until you tried to pick one up.
