I have recently disconnected and reconnected a couple of sensors due to decorating and have since been unable to set my alarm.

As soon as I start to enter the code the control panel starts beeping, and will continue beeping until I press # and wait a few seconds.

I'm guessing this has locked me out due to something I've done wrong... can anyone tell me why or how I can resolve this?

If you pm me Ill send you the engineers manual and user manual, as you'll probably be better off powering down and re powering back up resetting all functions.

then you can have a clean panel with a tamper fault - did you have the power off at all ?

From experience the 700L goes into engineer reset mode when tamper has been activated. Not user reset so if you dont know engineer code or who installed it better off with a clean reset.
Yes the panel can also go into ghost tamper when one of the component fails on the main card, or it could be the global tamper is broken, or the tamper hold off inside the panel etc etc

No it doesn't.

I can certainly say they did as we were always having to reset tamper alarms, especially before they started putting a screw into the rkp as tenants were always pulling the flap down to hard and pulling it off.

They may have changed programming now but thats how it used to be.

Well, I've just looked at the manual, there's no mention of Engineer Reset on Tamper

I don't seem to be able to PM you... :?:

If I was to "clean reset" the system can you guarantee I won't end up with the alarm going off an unable to stop it?

If you've been messing around with the PIRs then that is where you are likely to find the problem. Resetting the panel won't cure that. Do the PIRs still light up?
