A cheap security indoor X/Y/Z cam, I bought long ago, and abandoned to a cupboard, which I recently pulled back out to take another crack at. First job, track down some software which works with the cam, a couple of days ago - none of the universal ones worked with it, which was why it ended up stashed away in the cupboard, in the first place. The other reason, was it was wifi only, and seemed not to have a sound wifi connection. Finally found some for the PC, and got it working. Router in the meantime has been replaced with another, and wifi 100%....

It has a TF card socket, and can be triggered any motion it sees in it's view, and HiRes HD. I Finally decided it was worth the effort of installing, yesterday, left running, recording on trigger and fixed in the window, just watching the drive, and the immediate road outside. It must record all the time, but only save to the TF, when something triggers it, because it saves a few seconds before the trigger, the trigger even, and a few seconds after it. Very sensitive and clever it is too...

It caught several cars passing, a few passers-by in the middle of the night, one very obviously drunk individual, a few cats, and a fox. It would be handy to get it working with some more able, general purpose software, such as Ispy, but nowt I tried worked. It's I have it working with V380 software, on my phone and now the PC. Ispy claims to work with V380, but lots of people suggest it doesn't.

Another, more basic wifi security camera, I've had around for a couple of years, unable to find any software for, I finally got going yesterday, but with some crude software for the Iphone, and only as an Access Point. I couldn't find any way to get it to configure, to connect to my wifi, but... That would be handy to set up to wildlife watch, in my back garden, if I could sort it.. This one...

Blink is cheap enough or use a old phone as a security camera.
I bought a camera for outside 4 years ago and stuck in a cupboard. Maybe I should try getting that going.
I know you can run a long USB cable with a WiFi dongle. Place dongle in a bag or box and mount up a tree or on roof. That will go some distance to WiFi cameras
