i got home from work today and my Security light is permanently on. I can get it to switch off by switching the mcb off to the garage but when I switch this back on it stays on again. There is no separate light switch for it. I have tried cleaning the sensor but this doesn't help.

Probably time for a new one, then. It's possible that it's full of water but, even if that were the case, you'd probably still need a new one.
