security light

hi...........my outside security light has suddenly stopped working. the fuse is ok / the bulb is ok ( i took another out of my light at back of the house ). ive checked power and is ok inside the light. if the sensor has packed in would it stop the light working ? can i bypass the sensor to check if the light comes on.

you can overdide some security lights by switching the isolating switch off on off on

But if the sensor is knackered, this may not work.

Mick, the sensor is probably goosed. If you walk past it at night, can you hear it clicking on? No cure for this, just get a new light.
