Id like to install a programmable light switch in a living room fora couple of weeks as a security measure.
There currently is a single, 2 gang 1 way switch fitted, with a light fitting installed at each end of the room.

Can anyone advise whether something like this will be compatible?

Ive taken a look at the instruction manuals that are linked on that page and im not sure whether this would be suitable or not.

If it is compatible i have a feeling that it would switch on both lights in the room but this would not be an issue as it would only be a temporary fit.

i popped the current switch off the wall an this is how the wiring looks:

Hi, yes. that will do the job. As you correctly say it will switch both lights together.

Kind regards,

DS

Yes, but dont get the reds mixed up when u do it.

The red that is in the COM terminals goes to COM on the new switch.
The two other wires (a red and a black) both go to the L1 terminal on the Greenbrook switch.

Make sure you note this bit in teh instructions

Suitable for tungsten filament bulbs
40W to 400W maximum and most low
energy (CFL) 17W and above. Not
suitable for low voltage lighting or LED
lighting.
