Hi all

Did have a search but lot of older threads come up

Whats the general thoughts on using primer for slc? Substate is old solid concrete, doesnt appear to have any damp. It foes have what looks like old paint in a few sections but i cant be sure what it is, i may be able to sand that back.

Drops out up to 40mm in one corner so il be using no-nonsense 3-50mm compound.

Really not sure on the primer though.. never done slc before so a new one for me.

Ah ok il take another look. I did see various opinions on it but were older posts and as we al know things are either proved to be right or wrong at a later date.

wont be tiling, so the very top finish dont have to be perfect, just not 40mm out haha

Thank you for your reply

The instructions for the SLC I've used suggests a primer should be used when laying over concrete - it will of course suggest their own brand.
I had some left over SBR and used it without issue.
