self levelling compound substrate?

Is it ok to put self levelling compound on an asphalt floor in my hallway, or do I need to put pva or similar on the asphalt first.

also any tips on prepping, mixing, applying are welcome.

Two coats of 3:1 PVA, second one tacky, will probably work or use the SLC recommended primer.

Read SLC instructions.

Water first then add powder. Then thoroughly mix with some kind of paddle (cake mix paddle?) chucked in a drill.

Have all tools and wash bucket and sponge ready before starting.

Spread lightly with a square edge steel trowel.
