Hi First post, I have just replaced the waste pipe to bathroom basin, all OK but I cant get the 2 spring hooks back on the the semi pedestal, any tips on how to do so.

What spring hooks 
The 2 spring hooks, they attach to the basin bolt with nut and washer, the spring has 2 J hooks which go in to 2 1cm dia holes on the pedestal.
