Semi Pedestal Sink Fixing in place

Im currently fitting a semi pedestal sink
as you can see by the pic its a partition wall - you can see where ive drilled through the wall and pushed fischer type fixings.
Question is - what should i fabricate to fix the fixings in place - considering its a semi pedestal sink and its on a plasterboard and tiled wall ?
(yes i also know im going to have issues with waste pipes etc heh)

i was thinking that but i cant go too far down because of the pipework that will be coming throo - its going to be hard to fix to either upright also.
i've found some box section steel in the shed - might knock up some steel framework somehow

caff - 2 noggins (horizontals and 75mm x 50mm minimum treated timber) screwed to the vertical studs will be sufficient to hold the basin, unless you're going to sit in it to wash your ar*e For added piece of mind a 'worm' of Gripfill, or other wallboard adhesive, on the noggins/wallboard interface before you fix will be fine. If you're still not convinced then consider introducing some 18mm ply for the basin fixing to screw into - you'll also be able to bore pipe hole through this.

Forget the steelwork, it's not necessary; nogs will be sufficient.

save me cracking out the mig anyway and annoying the neighbours with grinding heh

was just concerned because of the weight of the sink - about 12kg and only about 1.5" of thread shows through the wall

ive went with this solution, found some angle iron and screwed the noggins in this way - loads spread further - not entirely happy with how much thread has gone into the wood (about 1") - but it seems solid enough - should be even more solid with the half pedestal in place.

caff - that looks a perfect solution. Now for the pipes ... presumably you're bringing them up the inside of that stud wall ... what arrangements are you going to make for isolating (service) valves?

im planning on fitting the service valves either behind the bath or use 90 degree ones behind the sink

i'm just having fun and games with the sink waste now

Caff what have you done with the basin waste pipes?

I'm currently looking into strengthening my studwall so I can hang a wallhung (no pedestal) sink on it but I figure it's no use if i cant also put the pipes and waste in the wall. Unfortunately I need to run the waste horizontally within the wall so am trying to get advice on whether it is safe to drill the studs to accommodate 32mm waste pipe.

you can just make out on this pic how i routed the 32mm waste
i used solvent weld as it takes up less space - and is neater imo.

im planning on rebating a metal plate where i cut into the upright to add strength - but its probably not necessary.
