Hi there,
I have stripped all the wallpaper off the walls in my living room...and i have filled any dents in the walls and sanded aso i have nice smooth walls.
The original wall color was blue about 50 years ago and its going to be white so i am putting a white undercoat on the walls anyway to start with.
(basically im going to use the same paint on the walls as an undercoat as what i have bought for the ceilings)

Just wondering what the correct sequence should be for painting??
I have ceiling,wall above picture rail,picture rail,wall below picture rail and skirting board to paint.

One coat should be fine on the ceiling but the walls i reckon will need an undercoat and 2 coats minimum.
I only intend giving the timber one coat aswell.

So where do i start and where do i finish???
Cheers,
Marty.

procedure as follows.

ceiling and frieze first then:
emulsion walls then;
paint woodwork

i would probably recommend lining walls with 1000 grade lining

For anyone else reading this its the bit between the picture rails and the ceiling.
