i would like to know how much a pump for this machine will cost me,
or even if the pump is worth replacing, should i buy a new machine?
any advice would be appreciated

If you have a local shop that sells appliance spares, take your old pump in and they should be able to sell you a replacement. I think you will find it is a universal synchronous type, which are not very expensive.
