Used to run it, am a member of DSLR, have been for about 5 years now, although I stopped running SETI at the beginning of the year. Haven't posted on DSLR for about 6 months now.

I don't know about running but i do a lot of sleeping on it.

I used it back in 98 or 99... seemed like a good thing to do. But then it gets a little depressing when your top-of-the-range PC is no longer that fast and your average processing time looks pants.

Then to top it all someone in our Uni's SETI group convinced a net admin to install the screensaver on all the PCs in one lab with his userID... 24/7, about 50 PCs. I fell from the top of the list. Bah.

Now the only PC I have in regular use is in my bedroom, as quiet as it is I still can't sleep with it turned on. So, no more SETI for me.

I stopped using it because I didn't find ET, or anything that could even remotely be ET and neither has anyone else at the website which is relentlessly technical and dull. This is because he doesn't exist outside of our imagination

I have decided there is no inteligent life in the universe or earth (except in this forum of course)
