I live in what used to be a very old farm house which was surrounded by fields, the house is now enclosed by privately owned businesses and workshops. My septic tank (which i will be upgrading to a treatment plant) has an outflow which travels across the business park. Ideally I could install a new system and outflow which does not cross any boundaries and stays within my property's borders. I'm trying to understand how realistic this idea is as theirs a lot of mixed information online. Is it acceptable to use a soakaway for a treatment plant? Do I have room in my garden? Regulations? Distances?

Any sort of help, guidance or info shared would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
