Interesting program The Power of Nightmares last Thurs.--- anyone else ?

In the light of what is happening in the middle east, I guess if there was a genuine 'al-Qaeda' threat in the UK, something would have happened by now, to keep the fires burning if nowt else. I reckon Osama is a 'dead 'un' already.

Didn't see the program but the terror threat has managed to get G.W. Bush re-elected. I liked his speech in which he mentions freedom and liberty 100's of times, yet he's the one keeping hundreds of 'suspected' terrorists imprisoned without evidence or trial.

What is the world coming to when blatent liars get re-elected, no doubt we will see the same here.

It is worth noting that Ossie's "generals" are all in the region of 5'4 in height, so let's assume that is typical for the region. According to the FBI website Bin Laden himself is in the region of 6'7 to 6'8 in height (been a long time since I read it, but it was one of those two heights).

Now, d'ya reckon he might be somewhat conspicuous in public?! That would be equivalent to someone of 7'2 wandering about in the UK. So if he is alive, he will be holed up in a cave somewhere, in full knowledge that as soon as sticks his head out of the door someone will spot him and then skip along to the nearest US embassy to claim the massive bounty.

Blatent liars? That's an anagram of "Latent Blairs" ;)
