Consider using a smoothing plane to take most of the waste off, hold it at 45 degrees. After that, you can sand the rest away using either a machine sander or hand glasspaper. Start with say 80 grit and go finer.
MDF dust inhalation is best avoided!

Obviously the Trend is going to be much better quality, but is the Erbauer going to be so bad? Is it worth investing in Trend, I may use the bit again, but not extensively.
if its only a 1 off job,AND you do own a router then buy a cheap bit,it will do the job just fine.only a light sanding afterwards.
if you dont own a router,then as already mentioned either a block plane or a smoothing plane will do the job,if using a plane?what i would suggest is using a finger gauge you run lines on the sides you want the moulding to be,that way you will have a sight line to follow and keep it uniform.
