Shared car rental?

I few years ago I used to occasionally rent a car locally which was very convenient and reasonably priced.

The idea was if you had a spare car or did not use your car all the time you could rent it out.

It all worked on the internet and when you had booked one you went to it and put your code into their web site and the car mysteriously unlocked itself and you found the hidden keys and drove off in it.

But I do not remember the name of the site or even know if it is still operating.

Similar arrangement as the Just Park where you can rent out your driveway or parking lot.

Anyone know the car rental site?

Not entirely show how well they're doing, the offerings by Zip and Enterprise are a bit more slick though coverage is variable

That all seems very odd.

A car for £1 an hour becomes £49 a day!

And there are so many extra but undefined charges!
