I already have a concrete shed base which is probably 30 years old ,the shed now wants replacing and I’ve decided to get a larger one so we’ve dug out filled with MOT ,wacked it down and put a layer of concrete over the top and is drying out as I write this . Can I put a border round the outside and put some no nonsense levelling screed (for outdoors )to get everything level ,would this work ok or would it break up ,what are the pitfalls ? I’m no builder so any help would be appreciated
Thanks ......Pete

Why does the base need a 1-3mm smooth surface around the outside? Can't you just put the shed on it?

Just trying to get it level we’ve done the best we can , we’re going to knock the old shed down next just want a level base , probably overkill I know but would it work

The point is how far out of level is it. Self leveller is not some magical thing to level up walls. It's for floors prior to fitting the floor covering and normally just for a few mm, and I can't see why you would want mm accuracy for a shed floor.

It is for the floor the screed says up to 50mm depth I’ll weigh it up more when the shed comes down
Cheers pal
