The recent storm made mince of my shed but with Funds tight at the moment and building an 85sq mte garage soon, I've decided to put the shed back together stronger.

New felt on top but now I need a few new barrel board timber and can't source anywhere local or anyone who sells it won't post it.

Anyone ever tried to connect shiplap with barrel board? I suspect the two won't join proper. Even if I routered one end to fit. Does anyone know which router piece I'll need.

New shed time.

Did you not read my post. I'm building a new 85sq mte garage here this and next year. Funds are tight. If I wasn't building this garage, I'd have bought a brand new shed. Once garage is up, this shed will be firewood but until then, all I can do is patch it up. This took me and my son one day to put together so hasn't really cost me anything apart from the felt and any timber or screws I've used, I've gotten free on site.

Why bother? If that final photo, is where you have got it to now, just put ship lap or even plastic trim around that lower edge.

the lack off actual visible damage on panel edges where they have come apart suggests the main problem is badly put together ??
you would expect perhaps 80-100 nails and screws connecting all edges including to the base
did you use something like a 18gauge nail gun to put together??

This shed was only storing bee keeping supplies and tins of paint etc.. Its been up more than 10 years and never any issues untill we had one of the worst storms weve had in this country. Hundreds of millions of euros worth the damage all over Ireland. Where i live, everywhere trees up rooted everywhere! House roofs ripped off all over the country. Commercial building roofs ripped off also. The country was at a standstill for awhile with millions of people without electric. Some didnt even get there electric back on weeks after this storm. The issue with this shed was it had an overhang of about 800mm at the front. While it was aesthetically pleasing, this is what caused the shed to end up this way. The 180km/h+ winds got under it and pulled the whole shed to pieces. It was put together with screws and nails. It just couldnt withstand these unheard of wind speeds. Ive put it back together with large thick screws, galva band and reinforced it better than how these sheds are sold like. This shed put back together will do me for another year or two then dismantled and turned into firewood.

How rude - when asking for help!

I'd been inclined in investing in bag of marshmallows, a lighter and some petrol.

Nothing rude about it. Can others not read the post right thou. While i understand maybe a new shed would be the first port of call, theres no point in buying one and spending teh time installing it if its only needed for 12months.

Right so we take a can of petrol to it, have a wee marshmallow party and throw in a wee sing song while your at it. Now, once the fire dies down and theres no more shed left. Now what will i do with the stuff that is stored inside it(the contents is off camera) Now bear in mind ive to spend 40+ thousand this year on building a new 85sq meter garage as when its finished, these contents will go into.
Now Einstein, would it not be best for to spend a day throwing this shed back up stronger at no cost at all other than two rolls of shed felt.

Why is he rude. He's rebuilt it and asked about filling in the bottom pieces and people are telling him to burn it?

You may be able to use some plastic soffit board along the lower edges and tuck in under the loglap to keep the water out

Interpretation of "Did you not read my post"

Anyway, fair play for reassembling it, I wouldn't of bothered, you can buy log lap cladding it's a cheap as chips to fill the gaps around the bottom, maybe weather in with some flattened rubble sacks behind the log lap, it should last until your 85sqm garage is complete.
