Shed more than 2mtr away from neighbours

Hi, newbie here, there has been a lot of talk about the height of a garden building close to the neighbour. I see that the max height cannot be higher than 2.5mtrs if within 2mtrs of boundary, so I want to build a pent roof shed 3m at highest and 2.5m lowest but running along side the boundary, what is the minimum distance I can build from please? Also as a postwar house we have hawthorn hedges all round, do measure border from the center of the hedge which is about 3ft wide or from where my side of the hedge lies? Thanks in advance.

Hi, 3x3 wood posts for the corners, then 2x2 to button out with some kind of insulation and feather edge to cover the outside

Hi, that's what I was hoping about the edge, but 2 metres would be too close though I thought as the highest point is going to be 3 metres, so basically where my golf cage is 3x3x3 I want to build from the front as we look, 3m front left post to its back post being 2.5m ( pent from the front) and along to the shed, I will remove the shed to all fit along the garden . From the hedge to the cage and the cage will have a 3m height, does it need to be more than 2m from the hedge, if so how much more than 2m away can I build. I truly hope that all makes sense, as it did when I wrote it. Thanks

Basically in England, any structure closer than 2 metres to any boundary must be lower than 2.5m high.That’s all of it below that height, not just the bit within 2 metres.

The height can be taken from the highest adjacent ground.

Hi, yes I got the 2m close to the boundary must be below 2.5m , but can I go 3m high from say, 2.1m away from the boundary, no one seems to quote the next permitted distance from boundary?.

If no part of the building is closer than 2 metres to the boundary then you can have the building 3 metres high.

just to reduce confusion the building regardless off roof type is counted as iff the roof is flat to the building edge at the highest height it goes to
in your instance your fine as more than the 2m
but some think iff the roof starts say 1m from the boundary and by 2m its still less than 2.5 its ok to go higher as it gets further away but its not
