Hi all,
Inside my shed, there is torching which is crumbling from the roof. I'm confident that the roof itself is in good order, and any ingress of water will be minor tile fixes.
I'd like to repair the torching before I put in a flat ceiling with plasterboard, so that the shed is well shielded from the weather.
There doesn't appear to be any decent guides online for how to mix and apply the mortar for this.
I'm in the UK, is there a brand or type of readymix or guide I can follow to prepare the mortar correctly?
I'd like to make sure I'm using the right stuff and that I only have to do this once.
Also would you recommend removing all the old mortar first? Or should I simply apply it over the old mortar?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Rob.
