In my daughter's kitchen there's a wall cabinet above a radiator. Any foodstuff in the cabinet is adversely affected by the heat from the radiator. As space is tight it's not just a situation of merely putting foodstuff elsewhere. So I'm thinking that a solution might be to position a shelf above the radiator to deflect heat-rise. Possibly with some foil glued to the underside of the shelf.
Can anyone please advise me if this will work ?
Thanks

yes will work although dependent on shelve width you may still get some heat transfer

my thoughts are a shelve about 25-35mm forward off the front off the radiator surface and the cupboard less than a 45degree angle from shelve front should minimize the heat transfer

Or you could try putting radiator insulation underneath the cupboard units.
