I'm tight on space and I should have made my doorway 24" but I made it 27"
I was thinking about just butting up another length onto the studs making the door frame or even just butting two up on one side but that would make it 4 studs deep! - is this sort of hack OK?
Obviously there would be no sole plate for these uprights would that matter? This is going to be an opening with a sliding barn door as opposed to a traditional doorway (not sure if that makes any difference).
I used two studs to make the doorway (one full length the other the opening height) was thinking I could attach another to shorten the opening.
Good idea?
