Should I ask for a new meter?

E-on recently came out and fitted a mains isolator between my meter and my new board.
There was a problem with one of the terminals on the outlet side of the meter -I think it was knackered and I noticed he has run one of the tails directly from the mains fuse to the isolator.

Is this ok?

Its not the proper way to do it but its not unsafe.

Mmm A Chint board - did you choose that yourself??
I would be more worried about that than the meter, if I were you.

Thought you were going to mention the Chint board. No,it wasn't my choice but it was better than what was there before.
Does anyone know- can you use CPN mcb's in these? Am told they will fit and my local electrical factors don't have Chint.

It's only the neutral which is solid linked between terminals 2-3 on the meter anyway, so makes no difference at all in terms of measurement. Current is measured on the phase- terminals 1 to 4.

To be fair I'm surprised a meter fixer would be cleverer enough to think of doing that. Although given the tendency of terminal shear in some meters it probably happens frequently.
