Should I see daylight along eaves on my new roof?

Also the cloakers on the side of the roof are not bedded down and I can reach my arm out through the space to the outside. £4k this cost and I'm not happy.

You should not be able to see daylight at the eaves, unless you have vents fitted to the soffit.
If you can see daylight so will birds looking for a nesting place come spring.

It is not at all unusual to see daylight through the eaves. You would need to peek through the felt lap to see it though. This occurs mainly with profiled tiles.

In fact eaves comb fillers were invented to deal with the likelihood of ingress from small creatures. If you do not have any i suggest you get some fitted pronto.

Any draughts coming into the roof will be welcome and a benefit to the roof space.
