if you win a VC should you also get a big pension and loads of civil rewards bestowed upon you, i think they should never have to worry about money again, just like ex MPs   plus pay no tax's

I believe they already get a modest pension which is (uniquely) not taxed.

No need for a knighthood though - that's an entirely different kind of honour, usually bestowed on a senior government employe who's polished his office chair for 40 years, or the boss of a large company as a reward for being the boss of a large company.

No, because those who are presented with the VC are deemed to be the bravest of the brave. What about the unsung rank and file heroes who daily face death or injury eg in Afghanistan, don't they deserve the perks that you suggest also?

A knighthood would just devalue the VC !

as the vc is the highest award what civil benifit comes with it if any , give us a clue  , and do the winners of the george cross get the same :?:

i doubt anyone that has won a VC would want a knighthood. WHy would they want a civil award that any tom dick or harry gets?

I think a Knighthood would seriously devalue the VC.
After all a 2 bit pop star can get a knighthood but it takes a very special act to gain a VC. Considering a lot of VCs are awarded posthumously then all I can see is the widow becoming a Lady and what did she do to deserve it.
