Shower cutting out and now stuttering, what is going on....?

It started to work for 2 seconds and then dribble for 2 seconds. I stopped using the shower and had to go back to using the bath. I tried it about a week later and now it will stutter at the start when I turn it on and then it will stutter occationally as I adjust it.

What has happened to my shower? Can anyone shed some light to my problem?
