I have a shower at the moment but wish to replace it. How can I tell weather I have one that is gravity fed, mains fed or Combi Boiler fed ( I dont know how to tell if my boiler is a Combi or not)?

With central heating off run hot tap, does boiler fire? You have a combi. Does another boiler like looking thingermejig on the wall go woof and roar? You have a multipoint. Does big round thing at end of tap do nothing for 20 seconds then go BANG blacken your face and singe your eyebrows? You have an Ascot.
OR put your hand over the end of a hot tap and turn it on does water pea out in every direction or can you hold it back? Pea out? You have a combi or an unvented hot water cylinder. Hold it back? you have a copper thingermyjig somewhere, probably in a cupboard piled high with washing so you forgot it was there. You hosueholders like to call these thingermyjigs a boiler but it isn't its a domestic hot water cylinder.
